ASA101 Basic Keelboat Sailing  Learn-to-Sail on a 24-29 ft sailboat as a skipper and crew in moderate conditions and protected waters

ASA103 Basic Coastal Cruising   Learn- to- Cruise 29-36 ft yacht as skipper and crew in moderate winds and coastal waters. Cruise & Learn format
Prerequisites:  No sailing experience required.  Good level of personal fitness recommended

ASA104 Bareboat Chartering Standard  Successful completion of Sailing Skills  and Certification Examination  provides internationally recognized qualifications for skipper & crew of a 30 - 50 foot sailboat sailing by day in coastal waters. Cruise & Learn format.

ASA105 C&L Coastal Navigation Standard  Learn the navigational theory, chart reading and passage planning skills required to safely navigate a vessel in coastal and inland waters. As a  navigator aboard, you will build a process of planning, dead reckoning, log entries and vigilance.  Basic GPS navigation is included aboard.

ASA106 Advanced Coastal Cruising  Safely perform responsibilities of skipper and crew of a sailing vessel 30 to 50 feet in length in coastal and inland waters, in any conditions.

VSC504 Competent Keelboat Racing Crew  skill and knowledge building for aspiring skippers and crew to introduce  race preparation, crew position skills, boat handling and ISAF rules knowledge

Prerequisites: ASA104 & 105 ( we recommend ASA105 instruction concurrently with ASA106)

Course Includes:
  • Eight (8) weekend on-the- water sessions including four (4) Vancouver area  races and (4) instruction clinics
  •  Skipper & Senior Instructors have  finished in Winners Circle in each of the race venues
  • race aboard popular One Designs Beneteau First 36.7, J24 or J29 equipped with racing sails, symmetrical spinnaker, pole and Cat 1 offshore Safety equipment
  • VSC Examination and Endorsement Certificate
