A massive protected park, Desolation Sound offers majestic fjords, towering peaks, cascading waterfalls, pristine lakes, and countless well-protected anchorages. Minimal development creates a true feeling of unspoiled wilderness.
Summer sun and meeting tides create warm water up to 75 degrees F (22 degrees C).

There are many spectacular routes through this maze of islands. You may also travel 30 to 40 miles up the B.C. mainland canyons of Toba and Bute Inlets.

Highlights:

  • Astonishing natural beauty
  • Swimming in mountain lakes and warm salt water
  • Waterfalls
  • Rich abundance of wildlife including Orca, Gray
  • and humpback whales and many species of dolphins
  • Extraordinary salmon fishing
