ASA 104 Bareboat Chartering

Successful completion of American Sailing Association (ASA) examination provides internationally recognized qualifications for Skipper & Crew of 30 - 50 foot sailboat sailing by day in coastal waters- focus is on safety, navigation, sail planning, sailboat systems knowledge & troubleshooting, docking and advanced sail trim.

Prerequisites: 

ASA101, ASA103 or CYA Basic Cruising

Weekend course includes:

  • Friday 7pm - Sunday at 5pm  instruction aboard one of our Beneteau First 36.7 yachts- Howe Sound or Indian Arm destinations
  • Skipper / ASA Certified Instructor for pre-study and course duration
  • Pre-study text "Cruising Fundamentals"
  • Access to our  Sailing Resources website
  • ASA Log Book Update
  • instruction on use of dinghy & kayaks
  • accommodation aboard, fresh linens, breakfast & lunches

Cruise & Learn includes:

  • Wed. 7pm - Fri. at 5pm instruction aboard one of our Beneteau First 36.7 yachts
  • as above except Gulf Islands, Desolation Sound, or BVI Caribbean adventure

Enrolment:

  • $595 per person, 25% Deposit, balance 30 days before course
  • Option 1- $95 ASA Certification  - includes  wriiten and practical examinations, ASA LOG Book update, certification registration
  •  Cruise & Learn is a 7- day adventure
  • A 10% discount is applied when 2 or more ASA courses are reserved for one student
  • Optional extra Days aboard on C&L $185
