Spinnaker Sailing - Session 1

"The Theory behind design and Rigging of the Symetrical Spinnaker": Learn about why, when and how to fly the most powerful sail on the modern Racer/ Cruiser yacht. Practice rigging the control lines, sheets, pole and spinnaker bag. Learn how to pack a spinnaker to ready it for the hoist.
NOTE: ASA101 Basic Keelboat Sailing and Spinnaker Sailing- Session 1 are pre-requisites for enrolling in Spinnaker Sailing- Session 2
Spinnaker Sailing - Session 2
1:00pm - 4:00pm
Learn to hoist, trim, gibe and douse the modern Symetrical Spinnaker- open water English Bay session aboard J29 or Beneteau First 36.7 racer/cruisers.
An awesome and fun afternoon learning how to efficiently and effectively fly the most powerful of sails aboard the modern racer/ cruiser yacht.
English Bay will provide the protected sailing area to help us through new skills, technique and working together with crew and helmsman
Don't forget to bring your sailing gloves, eat lunch early and dress warm and dry.
Enrolment:
- $185 for Sessions 1&2 plus HST
