ASA105 Coastal Navigation

Learn the navigational theory, chart reading, course plotting and passage planning skills required to safely navigate a vessel in coastal and inland waters.  

Assigned as a navigator aboard an optional C&L, you build a process of planning, dead reckoning techniques, log entries and a personal attitude of vigilance while underway.

Prerequisites: 

None. This course is suitable for Power or Sail recreational boating

DVD- based course includes:

  • DVD-based home study lessons and text "ASA 105 Coastal Navigation", practice chart and workbook with detailed solutions
  • Log Book update

  • All materials including charts and refenece material
  • Focus on navigationg internationally
