ASA107 Celestial Navigation:

Successful completion of the course: Able to demonstrate the Celestial Navigation theory required to safely navigate a sailboat on an offshore passage. The practical application is conducted in the Offshore Passagemaking Standard.

Prerequisites: None, suitable for Power or Sail recreational boating

Course includes:

• ASA Certified Instructor for pre-study and course  consultation
• Prestudy package including sextent loan for 4 weeks
• Operation and use of the sextant, figuring out compass deviation, sight reduction methods for sun, moon and stars, and running fixes
