ASA101 Basic Keelboat Sailing

Get started with the fundamentals. A proven and popular Learn-to- Sail course offered on most weekends in Vancouver. Learn the sailing knowledge, seamanship and boat-handling skills you need to safely sail as a "Bay" Skipper & Crew on a 20- 29 ft sailboat in moderate conditions and protected waters.

Weekend Vancouver ( Granville Island) based and weekday C&L sessions are available .

Qualifications for day- sailing boat rentals.

Prerequisites: No sailing experience required. Good level of personal fitness

Course includes:

• ASA Certified Instructor for pre-study and course consultation
• Two (2) days on-the-water sailing instruction- 8:30am- 5:00pm both days
•  Precourse study package includes ASA's "Sailing Made Easy" and Canadian Boating Guide

Enrolment:

• $495 per person
• Option 1- ASA Certification $95: includes Examination, one (1) year ASA Membership and subsciption to SAILING magazine, discount vouchers for sailing gear,  personal ASA LOG Book
• Option 2- Mid-Day Meal  for WEEKEND courses $10 - includes a light lunch fresh daily from Granville Market 
• Option 3- Pleasure Craft Operators Card (PCOC) Canadian Coast Guard requirement for operating a recreational  boat - Web based study $49
• Option 4- Sailing Gloves- state size Women or Mens  XS,S,M,L, XL. XXL
