ASA103 Basic Coastal Cruising

Learn-to-Cruise, basic navigation and chart reading, advanced sail trimming, docking, mooring and anchoring on a 29-36 ft yacht as a Day Skipper and Crew in moderate winds and familiar coastal waters. Safety first focus.

Prerequisites:
ASA101 or CYA or successful challenge prior to course.
Weekend course includes:
- Friday 7pm - Sunday at 5pm instruction aboard one of our Beneteau First 36.7 yachts- Howe Sound or Indian Arm destinations
- Skipper / ASA Certified Instructor for pre-study and course duration
- Pre-study ASA text "Sailing Fundamentals"
- Access to our Sailing Resources website
- ASA Log Book Update
- instruction on use of dinghy & kayaks
- accommodation aboard, fresh linens, breakfast & lunches
C&L course includes:
- Sunday 7pm - Wed at 5pm instruction aboard one of our Beneteau First 36.7 yachts
- as above except destinations are Gulf Islands, Desolation Sound, or BVI Caribbean
Enrolment:
- $595 per person, 25% Deposit, balance 30 days before course
- Option 1- $95 ASA Certification - includes wriiten and practical examinations, ASA LOG Book update, certification registration
- Option 2- two day/ one night Bareboat Charter with local sail plan and checkout $1085 ( 20% discount)
- A 10% discount is applied when 2 or more ASA courses are reserved for one student
- Optional extra Days aboard on C&L $185
