VSC Terms & Conditions

Enrolment and Reservations

• A deposit of 25% of VSC invoiced amount is required to confirm bookings for all courses, rentals, and charters. Balance is due 30 days prior to departure.
• Prices are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.
• Shipping of pre-study materials is FOB Vancouver, BC and billed separately at time of shipment
• We accept cash, bank drafts, Visa., MC and bank transfers
• A one time change to course/reservation date is at no charge if made 30 days prior to original course/ charter date.
• An administration fee not to exceed $95 per course will be charged for rescheduling in the event of last moment cancellations

Trip Cancellation Insurance (TCI)

Vancouver Sailing Club recommends that new students and VSC Members review the TCI offered on the credit cards used for booking their sailing. If your coverage is unclear don't hesitate to contact us to obtain coverage from our insurance carriers at reasonable rates. No refunds.

Inclement Weather

Your Vancouver Sailing Club Senior Certified Instructor/ Skipper is trained and motivated to make sailing safe and enjoyable for all participants. It is the sole responsibility of the Instructor/ Skipper to make a determination to sail, postpone sailing or  re-schedule the days sailing.

Liability Waiver

All students and VSC Members are required to sign a personal liability waiver as a prerequisite to participate.

Discounts

In the absence of VSC special promotions, credits of 5% will be provided to students accounts following the completion of courses for each of the following:

• full payment 120 days in advance
• booking three or more persons at same time.
• 95+% scores on ASA written examinations in 2011 and 2012

For ASA Courses, a certification fee which includes text/manuals, examinations, course handouts, log book, and certification administration (as per course description) will apply as follows:
